Trying to, touch and reach you with, heart and soul

A truly lovely cover of George Harrison’s Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth) recorded live by Elliott Smith is available here:

As of 2006, in addition to the memorial fund for Free Arts, Elliott Smith’s family has included Outside In as another beneficiary of proceeds in his memory. You can read a letter from Elliott’s family regarding donations here:

Mission statement and link for Free Arts:

Free Arts sparks the creative spirit of abused, homeless and at-risk children and their families to inspire and transform their lives through the power of artistic expression. Free Arts plants the seeds of hope and healing to help children build self-esteem, improve social skills, develop trust with caring adults and express emotions in a positive way. The philosophy behind all Free Arts programs is simply that “Art Heals!”

Mission statement and link for Outside In:

We address the changing needs of homeless youth and other low-income and marginalized people as they work toward self-sufficiency and improved health by providing innovative social, medical and mental health services and material resources.

Both funds allow for tax deductible contributions under section 501(c)(3)of the IRS code. Give generously in Elliott’s honor if you are able.
