Don't Say A Thing; That's All I Need

"Murmurs" is the debut album by Japanese-born singer Caroline and was released by Temporary Residence last March, but clearly overlooked at the time. The album is a potpourri of piano, bells, harp, guitar, and strings but it all takes a backseat to the incredible voice of Caroline.

Her voice hovers and soars, flitting over the nine tracks here, and showing its strength. The music twinkles and sparkles, like little lights on a winter night. The entire album conjures up images of snow angels and midnight walks under streetlights.

Murmurs:
Bicycle
Pink & Black
Sunrise [mp3]
Where's My Love [mp3]
Everylittlething
All I Need
Drove Me To The Wall
I'll Leave My Heart Behind
Winter

If winter is in its throes where you are, like it is here, then put this on, turn it up, and curl up by the window and watch it come down. If it's not, just replace the window with your copy of Blankets and you'll feel the snow falling down on you soon enough.
